Chassis Mount 40Forty Fan Adapter Kit for MAXX: Enhance Your Cooling Capacity

Boost your vehicle’s performance and prevent overheating with our Chassis Mount 40Forty Fan Adapter Kit. Designed to accommodate larger pinion gears and bigger tires, this kit allows you to install dual 40mm Rocket Fans for superior cooling. Ideal for extended bashing sessions!

Kit Includes:

  • Optional Dual 40mm Rocket Fans (available in silver/black or red/black, based on availability)
  • Adapter plate with brass threaded inserts for a direct bolt-on to the chassis
  • Finned Rock Guard for additional protection
  • 2-1 Y harness adapter for easy connection to the stock ESC plug
  • Compatible with the Traxxas light kit, including all necessary mounting hardware
  • All stainless mounting hardware, zip ties, and stickers included

Installation Guide:

  1. Remove the stock fan and shroud from the heat sink.
  2. Attach the adapter plate to the chassis bosses with two M3x30mm bolts.
  3. Install the flat rock guard over both fans using eight M3x16mm flanged head bolts.
  4. Route the fan wires to the receiver through the designated port.
  5. Connect each fan to the 2-1 harness adapter, ensuring the arrow on the plug matches the + polarity, and plug the splitter into an open port on your receiver.
  6. Secure any loose wires with the provided zip tie.
  7. Power on the ESC to test fan function; if a fan does not start, check the plug orientation and retry.

Impeccable fit and finish

The fan mount is sized precisely, and has brass fittings so everything stays put. There’s just the right amount of flex in the mount to keep it from snapping during jumps or tumbles, and the fans come with a perfectly sized set of leads along with an adapter that makes everything fit without any extra slop to tuck away. The fans themselves are real screamers, guaranteed to push a ton of air over your motor. Well done!

Superb

I stumbled upon this kit while looking for fans to fit the dimensions of the Maxx. I’ve had others, but they didn’t look nearly as polished as the Campfire Carbon kit. As it turns out, the Campfire kit is so much better that you really can’t compare them. The fitment is flawless, the cables are the perfect length, and the fans really move. My hat’s off to whomever designed this. I’ll be telling others I know to look here.
